Amplitude The height of a sound wave — what your ears decode as loudness and your body decodes as pressure
Attenuation Reducing the level of an audio signal — the controlled, intentional opposite of gain
Attunement Reading and responding to the room — crowd, moment, other DJ — so decisions serve the dance floor

Balanced vs. Unbalanced Cable wiring that cancels noise versus cable wiring that doesn't
Bars The basic unit of musical time — a group of four beats that repeats as the building block of every track
Beat Grid The map of a track's beat structure that DJ software builds from waveform analysis
Beat Sync A software feature that matches BPM and aligns beats across two decks — the button that launched a thousand forum arguments
Booth Monitor A dedicated speaker output that lets the DJ hear the mix independently of the main PA
BPM Beats per minute — the measurement of a track's tempo
